Honey is one of nature’s formulae that helps keep the skin clear and soft. It is produced from the nectar of flowers by honeybees. Its many antibacterial and antiseptic properties help in keeping the skin safe from infections, and thereby avoiding acne and other skin infections, be it white heads, inflammations or redness.
This use of honey for acne problems is very flexible as well because it can be used either directly or in the form of a face pack. In any case, the skin retains its beauty and health with regular use leading to a radiating and soft skin that is free from any blemish. It can be applied to the whole face or on those infected spots for treatment.
Usage of honey can be in the following steps:
- First rinse your face with lukewarm water
- Apply natural honey on the face and keep it on for 30 minutes
- Then wash gently with lukewarm water to get rid of all the honey
Another method to use honey would be to make a face pack with a mixture of natural honey, almond oil (not mandatory) and lemon juice. This will act as a cleanser with a gentle massage around the affected area.
Natural honey can also be orally consumed daily for the same effects.
