Pimples Due To Yeast Infection

Yeast infection is a type of skin infection itself. It can affect any part of the body but tends to target areas that are moist. Pimples due to yeast infection are attributed to a fungus known as cutaneous candidiasis and this fungus belongs to the candida family.

Pimples due to yeast infection appear in areas that are moist like the armpits or genitals. The pimples due to yeast infection are red and may have pustules. These pimples are stubborn to treat because of the yeast infection and may require special attention.

You can yeast infection and hence pimples if you have the following problems:

• Obesity: Obesity is one of the contributing factors of yeast infection. However, overweight tend to get pimples even without yeast infection because of poor diet.
• Diabetes: High blood sugar level is a major cause for intense yeast infection. This can ultimately lead to acne and pimples.
• Medication: Certain types of medication are known to harm microorganisms that control the growth of cutaneous candidiasis. This in turn, leads to a spurt of the fungus and you tend to have pimples.
• Unhealthy Lifestyle: Other factors that cause pimples in people suffering from yeast infection are excessive drinking, smoking, eating fried food, poor hygiene and leading a sedentary life.

Pimples that are cause by yeast infection cannot be treated in isolation. You will have to treat the yeast infection in order to conquer the problem of pimples.
